Privacy Policy

Angly is a small angle-guessing game. We collect as little as possible — no accounts, no emails, no personal information. This page explains the few things we do store and why.

What we collect

To run the leaderboards, Angly stores only what you choose to submit when you finish a daily or room game:

• The nickname you type for that submission (1–20 characters).
• Your score for that game and the date it was played.

Nicknames are not connected to any account or identity — pick anything you like. We never ask for your name, email, or any other personal detail, and the nickname you type is not remembered between submissions.

Cookies and local storage

Angly uses your browser's storage for gameplay, not tracking:

• First-party cookies (e.g. angle_daily and angle_room_…) record that this device has already played a given Daily Challenge or friends room, so the one-attempt-per-day rule can be enforced. They contain no personal data.
• Local storage keeps your theme (light/dark) and sound preferences and your most recent game result, so we can show it to you again. This never leaves your device.

We do not set tracking cookies ourselves.

Advertising

Angly may display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can control personalized advertising in your Google Ads Settings, and learn more from Google's advertising policies.

IP addresses

Our server briefly uses your IP address to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse. It is used in memory only and is not stored in our database alongside your scores.

Analytics

To understand how the game is played and improve it, Angly records a few coarse, anonymous gameplay events on its own servers (no third-party analytics service is used). When a game starts and finishes we store:

• the game mode (daily, quick, or friends room), your score, and how many rounds you played;
• a coarse device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop), derived from your browser and then discarded — we do not keep the raw User-Agent;
• the website that referred you (just the site name, e.g. google.com) and any campaign tags in the link you arrived from;
• a random device id stored in your browser (angle-cid) so repeat visits can be counted without identifying you.

This data is anonymous, never sold, and is not linked to your name, email, or IP address. We keep it for about 90 days. We deliberately do not store your IP address, raw User-Agent, or the full address of the page you came from.

Opting out. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, Angly skips analytics automatically. You can also opt out on this device at any time:

Children

Angly is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the game does not require any such information to play.

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and revise the date above.
